General Purpose Containers

Image

General purpose containers, also known as dry containers, feature a rectangular shape with rigid, corrugated steel walls, roof, and floor. They are equipped with two large swinging doors located on one end, allowing easy access for loading and unloading cargo.

These containers are typically available in standard sizes of 20 feet and 40 feet, though other sizes exist (such as 45 and 53 feet). While they have ventilation holes or vents to regulate temperature and humidity, they typically do not have openings or windows for accessing the cargo directly from the exterior.

The durable flooring, made of wood or steel, ensures the safe transportation of a wide range of dry goods, from manufactured products and machinery to textiles and raw materials.
